And now only two episodes remain. We’re nearing the end and I’m getting pretty anxious. This season has been pretty solid through and through, and I trust them to deliver a satisfying conclusion. Whereas last week’s episode was action packed and fast paced, this one was a little suspenseful, especially towards the end. This was an 8/10.
Its pretty funny to see Rampart work with the Batch, though obviously not of his own choosing. I was pleasantly surprised he wasn’t killed off as I thought last week and that he’ll be making the trip to Tantiss as well. I don’t think he’s headed towards some kind of major redemption and could honestly see him sabotaging the Batch’s infiltration of Tantiss in order to escape. The Batch coating their armor in black to match the Imperial aesthetic makes me wonder how the series would’ve played out had all members remained with the Empire for a time before defecting. One thing we can take away from this episode is the fact that Echo actually had a role to play and was given some much needed screen time. Because of this, I actually believed he was in danger as the transport was about to jump before the Batch could latch on with their shuttle. I did fear they’d wind up missing their chance and have to find yet another way. Now the boys are finally making their way to Tantiss to mess shit up. I imagine they’ll call in the remainder of Rex’s network for backup, though it probably won’t end all too well.
I know that some people find Omega annoying, but she really is one of my favorite characters from this series. She’s come such a long way from the series premiere and has learned all the right tricks from her brothers to mount another escape and the lead those poor kids to safety. While this series is expected to have a darker ending, there should obviously be some light at the end of the tunnel, and that should partially be in the form of all the kids returning home safe and sound. Next week, we’ll get Omega leading her own little “ONE WAY OUT!” and I can’t wait. No doubt Emerie will finally snap out, help the kids, and sabotage the cloning program, maybe even with Nala Se’s help.
